Generally developments confined by Wheeler go in the downtown thread. Perhaps things close to the northern boundary May go in the north end thread, but that’s up to the users discretion as to which thread they would choose to post in.

Does anyone know when the vote for the Vaughn Harvey/Main Street proposed building will be?

No. What we do know is that the city has agreed to sell the land to the developer, with a development timeline of two years. It will still require PAC approval I believe. The developer wants to start by this fall, which is why I was surprised there was no item regarding this on the PAC agenda this month.

I wish them luck and hope they're successful, but I wouldn't be opening a new restaurant in downtown Moncton right now.

Two potential sites for the mystery high-rise development that MonctonRad teased about.

Really? Nearly all highly speculated-upon lots have been mentioned. I'm getting the feeling that this development may be quite unexpected and straight out of left field when announced.

6 properties at south end of Robinson..
Bordered by Lutz?

Then again they all 'sold' the same time Heritage Properties 'sold' their parking lots on Foundry/Albert.

Also there are 4 lots on waterloo which sold Oct 2021.

There is obviously a lot going on behind the scenes downtown.

I've worked in the heart of downtown Moncton for over 30 years now and the change in the last 3 years alone is MUCH more significant than the previous 27. Seeing old, vinyl clads getting knocked down and amalgamated into 6+ storey residential is fantastic. The foot (and hopefully bike) traffic scene is changing a lot.

Who are ICON Developments? Is this a Moncton company, or are they from out of province?

The only ones I could see where based out of BC and they didn’t seem to build anything outside of houses.
