Meh, while they probably don't like missing the XMas season, it's probably not as huge a deal as a bigger store missing it would be. Target or Walmart or a Grocery Store or similar missing the XMas season would be really bad. But Dollerama doesn't feel like the type of store to get as huge of an XMas boost (especially in a market that already has 4 stores in it; are they all owned by the same person?)

Getting into the post-XMas penny pinching days will probably be bigger for them honestly. Just like I'd expect GNC would want to be up and running to get in on the January Diet/Exercise Resolution period.

I was in the dollar store on Sunday. They had 5 cash registers going. Trust me they are missing a huge boost.

I think you need to get off the bus a little more there Taeolas. The dollar rama is super busy this time of year. GNC products , do not really help you lose weight, maybe the protein powder helps you build muscle, but you can get that anywhere stuff cheaper at many other places

See you used the reference XMAS, made me think of something

anyone else notice that crappy sign on the way home last night by the Fredericton northside market flashing "Merry Xmas" looks like trash and very tacky.

I had some free time, so I cruised around town to get some pictures of new developments. It's nice to see the Northside has more developments currently going on!

According to the COF five year Capital Plan the Brunswick/Smythe roundabout is sked for 2017

So Smythe/Woodstock/Brunswick turned into a roundabout... Yeah I can see that happening. It's a huge intersection already, probably in the Top 5 busiest in the city, and the lights with the long turn arrows already seem to back things up longer than it needs. A roundabout should improve things there.

They also seem to be budgeting the Carleton Street changes (going through the parking lots behind the police station and such); I'm still a bit iffy on that part of the central plan, but by the time they get ready for that, we should know better.

They're also looking at replacing a few buses too by the bullet points.

Saw this on my RSS feed:

Artist Alan Edwards creates 3D model of downtown Fredericton

At work so I can't look at too much, but he's got maps ranging from 1830's to 1930's, covering the Garrison area.

Dont worry you will have plenty of time to check it out on the bus ride home.

Very cool. I look forward to checking this out as well. Pretty neat way to make history interactive.
