Grad studies. Pfffttt.

Flames aren't making the playoffs. Then again with how good Anaheim and Los Angeles are playing Vancouver or San Jose or Arizona could win the Pacific.

I know. Early. Definitely early.

Karlsson on pace for 143 assists this season.

I think the Flames will make it again but it's really tough to tell with this team. If Gio hadn't gotten injured last season they wouldn't have even been a borderline team. Not to mention 11 straight regulation losses or whatever that was around Christmas...

Vancouver won't be as bad as people thought but I think they'll be really inconsistent this year. LA and Anaheim will turn it around and finish near the top of the Pacific.

Blue Jackets are 0-4 and could very well be 0-6 by Sunday if they keep playing the way they have, which is absolutely inexcusable. There's too much talent on that team to be losing to shit teams like the Senators and Sabres.

As for baseball, I couldn't be happier that both the Cardinals and the Dodgers are out . I don't really care who wins the World Series at this point but I wouldn't mind the Cubs winning just because of the Back to the Future connection, or the Royals so that Johnny Cueto finally gets the ring that eluded him in Cincinnati.

I'm surprised the Royals haven't hit anyone yet this series. My over/under for the first two games was 8, lol.

They're winning by just being the better team.

Yeah, like that's the first time that ever happened.

Congratulations to Columbus on losing again and hiring Tortorella.

So, things are looking brighter for the next two years.

I don't know anything about any Tortorellas or whatever but what I do know is that the Blue Jackets play across the street from Rodizio Brazilian Steakhouse and Nada (Spanish tapas). That's all that matters.

^You'll know plenty about Tortorella within a few weeks. Columbus will be an okay team under him, but it won't last long. I am happy to see Tortorella back coaching though because he is always entertaining.

I can't wait for the first press conference.

Go Cubs! Oh wait, haha.

I fully expect the Jackets to continue sucking, but at least with Tortorella as head coach it'll be entertaining as hell. Dude's a fucking nutjob.

Yeah, but at least they weren't blown out in the third period this time and Bob might actually still be able to goal tend.

Baby steps...

Bob can tend goal.

Anaheim can't score. It is ridiculously funny. 2.59 shooting percentage. Bring back Selanne!

2-1 since Tortorella became coach. I'm not buying tickets to the Stanley Cup finals just yet, but I've got a good feeling...

^They beat New Jersey and Colorado. Neither of those teams says playoffs to me.

Continuing the Anaheim futility thread, they score three in the first and go into the second period up 3-0 and lose. Impressive.

I don't know what the hell's wrong with the Ducks. They've got too much talent for them to be sucking as bad as they are.
