"Which downtown buildings have observation decks besides the CN tower?"

the aforementioned Panorama restaurant at the top of 44 Charles by Yonge & Bloor has terrific views but most of them are well documented.

I've seen very few though from Canoe - a high-end eatery occupying the former observation deck on top of the TD Tower

-Hilton has glass elevators but they face away from the core?
-The hotel lobby on the ~30 floor in Scotia Plaza?

city hall used to have an observation deck but its been a long long time since I've been there. Commerce court had an observation deck too but long gone I think. You could stand there and look down at the people in the TD observation deck. CN tower restaurant still rules. - Ice

Wow, those are a lot of nice-looking buildings--every one of them--but isn't the Sapphire Tower not going to look like that?

Crane is up for Montage and Neo. Montage will be the last of the tall towers to be built in cityplace apart from Signature.

U/C are...

West One and N1
49 and 42 stories

Montage and Neo
47 and 15 stories

In sales Luna 2 towers
38 and 18 floors.
Its a very nice tower...

the taller towers apart from the Signature tower have been built or U/C. Under 40 story buildings will be released. now...

wow, its amazing how fastcity place is going up. Do we know any timeline for signature? Cause thats the one im waiting for..itll be a happy day for me when it starts to rise.

I heard the really want to go for as high as they can. They can have a 800 foot plus tower there easy, because it would fit that area. They will likely introduce those 4 towers ( two 18 stories, two 36 story towers) then Signature. I say less then two years and it will likely be advertised like mad.

BIG NEWS FOR NORTH YORK CITY CENTER. PLANS FOR A 45 Story and a 37 story Residential/Office/Retail tower.

The tallest tower is 164M or 538 feet. Taller then ROCP.

Montage and Neo are now u/c, well at least one new crane is up with the footings in place for the other. I can't remember if Montage will be 47 or 49 floors.

I know it's not toweringly huge but the Royal York Grand at Royal York & Eglinton started construction today. (15 storey condo)

Personally I think the location is shit. The traffic is heavily congested on Eglinton and the bus is WAY overloaded.

Encore at the MET broke ground and is starting construction
VU starts in March 2007.
Glas will start construction soon...
EQ2 is 55% sold
One bedford starting construction
LUXE one a big sucess, Luxe two coming out. (THAT WAS FAST!)
It says Bloor Street Neighbourhood under construction
Liberty towers Starting this Month
Sucess Tower now being advertised a lot
Botique phase starting construction, phase 2 released...
Network lofts underconstruction

Maple Leaf Square now has only 10 units left out of 810. So its 99% sold in about year...

The Four Seasons Sales center is under consrtuction expect sales to start in the middle of this winter...

A crane is going up on Murano....

All from Urban Toronto....

2010/2011 completion. Originally was to be completed in 2013 however City Place is running 2 1/2 years ahead of schedule. Height and floor count is currently undetermined and needs to go through city approval again since. 1) Originally proposed at 49 floors as part of the master plan. City gave them up to 56. 2) City place density is now several hundred units over original plan. Expect 60ish+ floors. - ice

I was in Toronto a couple of weeks ago (week of Sept. 22nd), and had a few seconds to snap some pics (literally). I finally have a few minutes to post them, so here's a few somewhat outdated construction pics.

I must say I was very impressed with Toronto. It's very big, very urban, yet very clean. And all the people I ran into were very welcoming. Can't wait to return!

I have a couple of skyline shots that I'll post when I get some more time.

lol, that's the now infamous retail / entertainment Metropolis project. It sat as a hole in the ground for like 5 years. Even now, construction is proceeding ever so slowly.

actually it has moved at an alright speed.

Murano is getting a Crane.... so that soon start to rise.

Rocp 2 and Quantum are getting taller really fast, so they will rise during the winter.

Also thanks to geekaroo from urban Toronto for this cool pic. THE STUMP IS GOING DOWN FAST!!!
