I'm no expert in tower construction (curiosity brought me here at first), but it seems to me that visually very little progress were made in the last couple of months. When could we expect seeing a tower crane at this location?

Haven't heard of the stop work order being lifted?

Wink

According to the forman it will take 52 weeks to complete the pile footings for both buildings but was told that the first buildings piles are about half done now. Was told there would be 5 levels of parking and this would probably be the deepest hole Hamilton has ever seen. I think its coming along great considering the size if the project.

I believe the convention centre has 4 or 5 levels and the Olympia has around 10 levels.

My parking spot is in the very bottom of the Olympia I can confirm there is 3 full underground levels and 3 half levels. Technically 6 levels of parking but really only "3 true stories".

would be great if they could design it to accept a tunnel from under the Right House and pick up the King E/Hughson/King William/James N block future parking

According to the elevation documents I have, they're only going down two floors for parking, the rest will be above-grade in the podium. They may dig down further for the foundation or mechanical space but not for parking.

I was by on Monday at 6:00 pm and the site was wide open from Hughson so I took a few photos from a new perspective:

Can anyone explain what this big brush-looking attachment is used for?

The brush attachment on the backhoe is used to clean the road of dirt and gravel.
