While Westbank seem to prefer to control every aspect of development including leasing these days, I think it's more likely that it's the same forming sub-contractor on both buildings, Carion Construction, who also did 1750 Pendrell for Westbank. (I guess Westbank might still own the cranes, though).

Compare the foundation to the other ones we've seen recently that needed to weigh down an asymmetrical tower (Alberni by Kengo Kuma and Vancouver House.

(I'm no geotechnical engineer) Soil integrity might have a say in the core footing's specification.
At Alberni by Kengo Kuma https://skyscraperpage.com/forum/showthread.php?t=217670&page=16 it look like a soft hardpan. In the nesting area for the foundation
they made and effort to reach a good hardpan but it looked unsuccessful so they filed it in with a rough concrete fill seen here https://youtu.be/i4YMmczSBiw

I don’t have pictures yet, but I’m pretty sure they’re pouring the slab today. Several concrete pump trucks getting into position when I walked by at about 6:45 this morning.

Kind of funny on Glassdoor some guy said the entire site team at Vancouver House quit in 2018 (the official response said "some talented individuals"):

Pretty sure it's gravel. Must make quite a sound to pour it down!

Yes gravel I am fairly sure. Just a poor choice of words on my part at first.

Looks like they are laying pipe in the gravel - 2 pics up.
I guess that's a means of keeping it accessible in future (under another slab?)?

Came across the video when NorLand Limited graciously replied to a top comment "I wish you had shown them getting those machines out" of my Burrard One excavation video https://youtu.be/CxpM7ZixUmI
