Goodwin Procter signs lease to become first tenant at new Schuylkill Yards tower

Nine months after launching a Philadelphia office, law firm Goodwin Procter has signed a lease to become the lead tenant at a new mixed-used tower at Schuylkill Yards.
Goodwin will occupy 31,500 square feet in the 28-story tower at 3025 John F. Kennedy Blvd. The lease is for 12.5 years.
Boston-based Goodwin’s fit out is planned to take about a year with move-in planned for the second half of 2024.
Fellow co-chair of Goodwin’s Philadelphia office Barbara Shander said being next to 30th Street Station is attractive because attorneys can easily get to other Goodwin offices in Washington, D.C., and New York.
Goodwin now has 36 attorneys, including 13 partners, in Philadelphia and the new space will be able to fit up to 50 attorneys.
At 3025 JFK Blvd.'s residential portion — named Avira — tenants began moving in in mid-August and the building has 45 leases signed.
