(Yes, I know that this building is built and owned by BGO.)

One better hope that the "university" will have its own elevator bank. Trust me, from previous experience, this is the last use one would want in an AAA tower. This must speak to the thinness of office leasing these days to get a deal like this approved by senior management.

For sure, I know I'd never get CEO approval for a lease to a "university" in a brand new AAA building. In fact, I'd never take a lease like that up to the food chain to begin with. I'd just say no.

And for some college that went into New West-built office project, I saw elevators dedicated to the school floors.

I was going to ask that exact question especially with the student headcount they were throwing around. I guess with 11,000 students you have a lot of tuition money to splash.

The story says they'll occupy levels 3 -7 with 3 and 4 being connected by a central atrium.
It says they'll be opening this summer, so probably no time to cut through an internal staircase if there wasn't already one in place(?).
I expect the emergency stairs would be open for use.

I thought they cracked down on these diploma mills yet I still see them expanding. UCW is a completely uncredited institution that provides no benefit to society, just a pathway to PR.

City Centre 5 in Surrey is being turned into student housing for "Western Career College" which I think is a poor idea. That area should remain focused on health & technology, not beds for shady private colleges.

Not unique to just Metro Van though, Post-secondary schools snapping up empty GTA office space: report.

We’re excited to announce that the B6 Office Tower in downtown Vancouver was awarded the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate 2024 Award for ‘Best Office Lease’ Vancouver!

For this project, we were responsible for the core and shell construction.

University Canada West applied for a permit in April but it still sounds like they're building it out.

I'm guessing Thorsteinssons is currently the only tenant on the 26th floor. They got occupancy permits at the end of May.

It doesn't sound like Microsoft has applied for any building permits. Bentall Oak has floors 8-13 on their website available for lease.

31st floor penthouse is up for sublease by Avison Young

14-15 might have been leased because they were on the market last year.

Something tells me University of Canada West might be re-assessing their needs.
