I heard from a friend who lives in Mississauga that something big is coming to Burnhamthorpe Road West. She said it will be a multi tower development similar to Parkside Village.

I think that's it. Seems to be the only parcel of land on that stretch of road to be able to built that kind of development.

Totally fair to compare a building designed by New Canadians back in the 90's to a structure designed 25 years later. If we want to compare apples to oranges then we can also do this: (compare Hindu temples in Toronto vs Vancouver)

Doubtful as he is from BC. I do think it was a fair question to know the purpose of posting the Mississauga building. Imagine how cluttered the thread would be if everyone did that. Of course Peterborough would have its five minutes of fame for the topic of Buddhist temples.

I still think this thread should be split into high-rise proposals and low-rise proposals... after the Top 50 Proposals thread, which cuts off at 176 metres as of today (50+ floors), we go to 2 or 3 storey buildings... there should be something for the 12 - 49 floor towers, and then a separate thread for everything shorter...

I like this thread as it. It's a catch all for developments including large scaled urban redevelopment and less about individual building statistics. Where would you put the Hamilton harbour proposal, the countless redevelopment master plans in Burnaby or, the one in Mississauga posted above where the stats haven't been finalized.

CNIB does look like a winner. The Pearl and CNIB on 120 st and then down to 113 st with the Emerald.
