It's an old tale cranes are strategically placed in elevator shafts. Elevator shafts are simply too narrow.

As for One Bloor, the podium elevators are on the western perimeter. The tower's elevators are in two banks; one to the north and one to the south. The crane base looks like it misses both of them.

What's mind blowing is that Cenovus is sub-leasing their own space in the BOW, and are struggling with that - with the exception that Nexen absorbed about 300,000sqft recently. Brookfield was spec'd out before Cenovus laid off 4,000 employees. Sad truth is that I don't see them taking 1 sqft in Brookfield anytime soon. Everyone on here knows that the BOW is not even 2/3rd's occupied don't they?

I have no idea, all I know is the information they released back in April or whenever it was. They want to consolidate all of their downtown locations (of which there is quite a few) into one, namely Brookfield Place. They have reiterated a couple times since 2016 that they are planning to move into BP in 2019. I see no reason yet to doubt them.

I'm sure Cenovus will still want to be in their own building, them leasing space to Nexen makes that seem more likely to me. There is work going on in the upper floors of Brookfield, I have been under the assumption that is Cenovus beginning their work on their floors.

Union Station is so huge, will be cool when they finally get some electric trains in there.

back on subject, glad the CIBC building is adding to the public space of the complex, not just the raildeck, but also the massive new bus terminal. Union Station will not only be huge but more up to the needs of the city it serves.

Even the smaller projects are nice to see, even if they're not terribly significant or pretty. The new office project adjacent to the King Edward hotel is in demolition, and 25 Ontario Street is starting soon, as well as the Liberty Village projects (20 Atlantic Ave etc.)

The 80 Atlantic office project in Liberty Village is particularly interesting to me as they are using cross-laminated timber "wood frame" construction. I helped work on the building code changes to enable 6 storey wood construction so it's nice to see this finally come to fruition.

Ok...its a joke. But I dont get it.

Union Station renovated to like brand new.. many levels of concourse below the train tracks new food court u/c three levels down below the tracks and the place is only half done and is humongous. Now look they are building a multi-level bus terminal in the office skyscraper all connected by a raildeck over the tracks and open to public. Will be amazing when complete, and a cool place to watch trains. I'll wait to watch the trains, hopefully electric trains soon.

I'm really feeling the new Union Station and its dining options, gives it an Eaton Center vibe. I haven't seen the new stores but the videos i've seen online make it look pretty dope.
