There are a lot of buildings in the image. If you're referring to Telus Sky, yes, Telus is taking 2/3 of the office space. If you're referring to Brookfield Place, Scotiabank controls like 10 floors or something, and Cenovus will be moving in sometime in 2019.

Great pic.

Walked back past One Bloor this afternoon. The base of the crane has been installed and it looks huge.

I find it a little shocking that the tower crane is going up smack dab in the middle of the site. Anyone know why that is? That is fairly unusual. Doesn't the elevator core need to... like... exist?

That's how the vast majority of towers get built in Toronto. The crane moves up inside one of the elevator shafts as the tower rises. L was one of the few exceptions to this rule.

I hadn't realised how small the footprint would be for this one. Looking at it compared to One Bloor East's podium it looks pretty small.

It's designed by Stantec, not sure what else we could expect.

This is not unusual at all, the Bow had 3 cranes within the footprint I believe.

The Bow had just been fully clad when I moved here on May 1, 2012, so I never got to see all that.

That's kinda too bad, the Bow was fascinating to watch go up, easily the most complicated highrise in the city.

Yeah I wish! I would probably say it was the most structurally complex highrise in the country at the time. Only surpassed so far by Vancouver House and maybe that one in Toronto that has an entire half of the building resting on that one enormous pole. If only I had moved here a year earlier I would have witnessed the construction of four of our five tallest, coincidentally 4 of the nations' 25 tallest as well. But getting to see the start and completion of the National Music Centre, 707 Fifth, Telus Sky, and the Central Library has been pretty awesome for a planning nerd/student like myself

This is not my favourite angles of the tower. It is turning out much better than the renderings and 3d models.

Telus is leasing about 1/4 of the office space. Scotia occupies far fewer than 10 floors in Brookfield Place.

True that. The hotel's design architect is Hariri Pontarini. It does have the H+P curved corners. Otherwise, it looks as engineered as Stantec.
