I don't really have any argument with it. I travel the country constantly for the work that I do. Chicago and NYC are obviously in classes by themselves. Then you have "everyone else" which is basically the 8 or 9 that are featured. In my opinion, an argument can be made that Atlanta's is the best skyline in the US after NYC and Chicago.

Actually it is not subjective about the best looking but an objective look at the size of the footprint in the (contiguous) Central Business District. ATL is 2.46 sq/miles. Philly (#4) is 2.12. But yes an argument can be made we have the best (sans the BIG 2) overall looking skyline too. Just wish we had more height in middle midtown.

Atlanta is in that Seattle, San Francisco, LA, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Philadelphia class, the tier below the "Big 2." If there are a lot more tall skyscrapers built, it can differentiate itself and become #3.

Selig Midtown Mixed-Use

A dense site located at the corner of 17th and Peachtree in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, this project pushes the limits on urban infill while staying under the transitional height plane requirements of one of Atlanta’s oldest neighborhood. As part of a due diligence study for Transwestern, tvsdesign studied the complicated arrangement of program to deliver a project that toed the line between the busy Peachtree Street corridor and the stately residential neighborhood of Ansley Park.

The pics seem to show the Exchange project, 1105 phase 2. You can see 1105 and the condo building in the background in the pics. Not sure why they mention 17 st on the website.

The orange marks might be identifying the MARTA subway box.

The renderings looks like it may have been TVS study for the 1105 Peachtree site and whatever they did for 17th and Peachtree is not shown.
Edit: Nevermind. you can see the 1105 building in the background of one the renderings. Clearly this is not intended to depict the surroundings.

Right, Selig doesn’t even own that property on 17th, it’s Dewnothing.

TVS also has some renderings of the 1200 Peachtree repositioning. I've been wanting to know more about this.

The markings go along 17th street, not spring street. I’m pretty sure these are just utility locations. The Marta tunnel would be marked by a surveyor and you would see surveyor tape and pins if they were marking that

I took the picture on April 29 standing right on top of the MARTA line. While I can't say for sure if it is MARTA makings or utilities it is factually on top of the MARTA line. Spring Street is one block west of W.Peachtree and of the MARTA line.

Here is the pic again.

Sorry, I was just speculating that those marks don’t represent the position of the Marta tunnels themselves, but are most likely marking utilities along 17th instead. I agree the Marta tunnel is below the spot that photo was taken heading north
