Does anyone know why the 1101 Walnut thread is closed? I walked by today and there has been some activity on the site- looks like they are shoring adjacent properties- they have been digging.

It's insane to me that we get solid brick proposals in Port Richmond but this dogshit on Walnut street, less than a three minute walk from multimillion dollar rowhomes. Hopefully the tough financing market kills the project.

That location with height would be seen from all over the city plus has the potential to be a show stopper view coming from either direction on 76 and bridge center city walnut to ucity. It’s walking distance to fitler square, rittenhouse square, schuylkill river trail and the parkway. It could be an anchor for that neighborhood which is a little sleepy. Oh it’s also next to greenfield school. It’s absolutely wild that this is is the proposal we got.

Citizen Bank Park has one of the best shows of the Skyline. Hope to see the skyline grow more and more.

Other than the South St. bridge, this is my favorite view of the skyline. Nice shots as usual TK - Much appreciated!

One vantage point rarely captured is from the west along West Chester Pike just before you get to 69th street. You really get good view from there with all the UC stuff in the foreground and the taller CC towers in the rear.

Totally. Even shows up fairly well in Google maps:

One underrated view is from the Girard Avenue Bridge/the Connecting Railroad Bridge (along the Northeast Corridor). The skyline looks amazing with trees on either side, the winding Schuylkill River, and, in the spring, the cherry blossoms lining Kelly Drive.

I don't hear too many people talk about this one either, but I love the view of the skyline from Delmar Street in Roxborough--especially at night. It gives off Los Angeles vibes.

It's picturesque for sure but to your point, it gives off an LA vibe or even Dallas or Houston. All you can see is a line-up of about a dozen buildings, all built since 1980s with no depth and no sense of the crazy-dense pre-war high clusters that cover Center City.
