I don't know what it is about Winnipeg but despite the buildings not actually being particularly tall, they always look like they're giants.

I think part of it is the "stand alone" effect where there's no other tall buildings obscuring the height of some of the tallest which allows you to see most of their full height. It's similar to how I've always found AON in Chicago looks significantly taller than FCP in many pictures but it's actually only about 14% taller. Or how Vancouver's tallest buildings which are taller than Winnipeg's don't look that tall in most skyline shots.

This photo is fantastic!

In the Winnipeg image, I love the look of the buildings in the background shrouded by misty air.

Little known fact, in English, Farine Five Roses goes by Flour Cinq Roses.

Wow! That’s an amazing shot!

Metrotown definitely wins as the most photogenic suburban skyline in Canada IMO.

Has there every been two shots from tow different cities in two follow up posts like the second one of Quebec and the one of Metrotown?

Wow

I don't know what is planned for Metrotown's future? The gaps between the high rises are getting tighter and it won't be as photogenic once they are gone.

Truly! I would love to visit Winnipeg in the dead of winter. It might be a solo trip unless I can convince my partner!
