There is Walnut Creek and Concord for the bay area, but pictures aren't easy to come by showing the "skyline".

which of these pseudo-downtowns have dense pedestrian traffic? That, to me, is the true litmus test...not banal tall glass office buildings or condos.

To be fair, this is a thread about skylines, which can exist whether there is pedestrian traffic at their bases or not.
