Canderel doesn't have the best track record for quality podiums. YC is defo odd, but the tower is decent - much like Aura

An LRT stop and they're good to host a Winners, Shoppers, Dollarama.

Will be interesting to see if this remains condos as initially proposed.

I've heard through the grapevine that this would end up being rentals instead... The lack of any sales centre right now leads me to believe that this rumor may be true.

Looks like the city has issued a stop work order on this project for a lack shoring permits also.

Yep twice this happened now and both times it was because the Hamilton Spectator was poking their nose into things. Someone in The Spec have an axe to grind or anti-development?

Quote:
The city inspected the construction site at 45 King St. E several days after a Spectator inquiry. The newspaper also recently reported on weeks of construction without permits that spurred a May 15 stop-work order against Vrancor's planned 25-storey Main Street tower.

I'm hearing this or that they will both be rentals. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

There should be, the City has hired students to look for possible bylaw infractions.

Co-Op Students? That would make sense. Good learning tool for those students too.

Woohoo! It's just great to see this going ahead, along with other projects like the one on Main and the Platinum condos. This city is moving onward
