I think they should have dropped the stripes and not done the balconies white. Or if they had to do one just done the balconies white. Both is cluttering and at least the balconies actually server a purpose and are going to draw the eye even if they weren't white.

omg every time someone posts a photo of the brookfield place site, I keep thinking it's Yonge/Eglinton because of that building on the far left that looks like the RioCan building^ lol. but damn that site is huge.

Yeah it is huge. What's even more crazy is that it is only half the site of the total two tower project. The Bow Parkade won't be coming down at least until tower one is topped out, if at all.

Ok, I can see the twin peaks forming now, looking at my picture from above and Frankie's.

Dual peak is in effect!

Fawk! The more they put up the sexier it gets. That glass must cost a bomb, but worth every last cent. It's hard to put a price tag on things that give delight and/or enjoyment to the viewer.

Can't believe we're getting curved glass on One Bloor. I only expect it for the podium, but still that's impressive and certainly the most important part.

Really looking forward to this one progressing.

It appears the first concrete pour has happened at Brookfield Place. Located in the NW corner of the site, next to the ramp.

Wow that new screen in Dundas square is huge! Way better than the old circle billboard.

and holy crap! The crown of Aura looks to be topped out!

Wow

The growth continues so unabated.

SO.. I have been trying to find some stats, but everything I come up with is dated... SO with all these units added to the core, what is the current (est.) population of the downtown area?

Does Toronto downtown add in, NYCC, Humber BAy shores into these #'s?

How many more units are in the pipeline, and what can we expect downtowns pop. to be by say 2020??

I remember seeing Toronto had 120 000 people or so, but that was in the 90s. So with all these addition have we added 100 000 people from Bloor to the lake since 2000?

It is just an amazing transformation. Every skyline pic added you can count 4, 5, 10 , even 15 + new buildings!!

I would like to compare where Chicago and Toronto are respectively in just pop downtown.
