Here's the webcam from today. That construction you can see in the background, right of the building, is that the Spring site?

No. Spring is a little bit more west. It would be out near the top right corner of the picture.

I tell ya this 17th floor is taking a lot of time to complete. From the 16th to the 20th of this month they put the floor of the 16th in. This next level seems to have taken a week to build the existing top floor. I suspect they are useing the north end of this floor to store equipment for the upper levels. A climb that should go much quicker when they catch steam.

That lot in the background looks like the site prep for the Seaholm project. There are supposed to start construction this fall on a 22 story hotel/condo project along with retail and office space.

They raised the crane on The Monarch today, (probably this morning). I wasn't close enough to really judge its height, (from South Lamar), but I'd say it's about ~70 feet higher now.

Great pics, Mopacs. Those West End views are really looking good.

Those are really nice photos, Mopacs. Gorgeous early evening light. Boy, that Frost Bank building is really a chameleon. It looks so different depending on the weather and light.

It was cloudy with dull flat light this morning when my wife and I were walking downtown. But here are some of the pics I took.

AMLI:

360 building, taken from the parking garage next door:

350 balconies:

Monarch with 360 in foreground:

The Shore:

The Sabine. This is where my wife and I just bought a condo:

I still think the Frost tower is one of most handsome buildings around:

Nice. I must say, I like the look of those balconies on AMLI II. The tower looks nice there, and man is it skinny looking.

Great pics again, guys.

Congrats on the new camera, Mopacs. So what kind did you get?

How much did you pay for the Sabine? I was looking into buying one. Price/Sq ft/floor/view?

Great shots priller! I haven't had much of a chance to stop by The Shore site in the past few months, so its good to see it rise up close. That building is going to make an impact from many angles, similar to Monarch (both flank the downtown area to the East and West). The Shore will especially stand out from the Congress bridge. Just imagine a few years down the line when the other proposed Rainey-developments come online.

Kevin... I stepped up to an 'entry-level' DSLR, a Nikon D40.... great little camera...one of the most compact DSLR's on the market. Priller... looks like you have a D-series Nikon too?

Well, I'm not supposed to tell anyone what we paid for it (according to our contract), but it's a little less pricey than the new towers going up.

The plans for Waller Creek were a big factor in us choosing that place, too. We're hoping the property values will really shoot up there in 5-10 years.

We also liked the high ceilings (13 ft), which helps a lot in such a small place.
And the fact that it will supposedly be ready in Oct/Nov, because we're really ready to move downtown.

Yes, I have a D80. I've read many good reviews about the D40, and your pics look great.

I guess thats one advantage of an office building conversion, with the (generally) higher floor-to-ceiling ratios. Congrats on your purchase. If the Waller Creek revitalizations materialize, then you will have made an outstanding investment.

Here's a shot I just took of Monarch, from the north. The crane is now well above the horizon...

If the skies look ominous, its because we are about to be innundated by VERY heavy rain later this morning and afternoon. Perhaps I'll get some shots as the storms approach. Here's downtown...

...and one more shot of 360, from this weekend

Congrats! Do they have a model set up in the building?

BTW..... nice photos.... I like the composition of the one with 360 in the foreground and Monarch in the back.

I stopped by the 360 Sales office this weekend. They now have an info sheet available with pricing on remaining units.

There are still some neat "deals" left:

One Bedrooms:

An A6 (North facing) on the 12th floor @ $356/ft

A few A3's (West facing) high in the building (30-40th floor) @ $382/ft+

An A1 (West facing) on the 17th floor (17 has exclusive use of the big terrace on 17) @$402/ft.- this will probably be a fairly unique amenity...

The rest of the available one bedrooms are East facing.

The two bedrooms avail are B8, B5, B4 & B2

Rumors about the restaurants are a sushi concept and an Italian restaurant/market of some sort...

Four Seasons

I happened to come across some floor plans of the Four Seasons project from a Realtor friend of mine. Looks like this project has the green light!

Also they have their official page up:
