267 O'Connor St, Ottawa in Centretown. These 28 and 30 floor towers will contain 541 residential units and a sort of urban semi-indoor agora.

A 35 storey 'proposal' for The Quarters in Edmonton on a site perching over the valley.

396 Church | 111.3m | 37s | Podium | Arcadis l Settlement

A settlement agreement would see this 5 storeys shorter. New renders below:

The height of the white and greybtower portion makes little difference to quality of the neighbourhood.

If the red brick portion was at least 10 floors tall (even with a shorter tower) it'd have a more positive impact.

Typical Toronto. It's too tall and wide to have zero step backs. That 3 storey podium next to the townhouses accomplishes little except to skew the F.S.I. as if there were step backs.

Depends if the white and grey are brick. Of course, the typical fenstration cluttered with venting and random mullions and spandrel will make it look like shit.

2475 Dundas Street West | 109.67m | 29s | Fairway | BDP Quadrangle l pre-construction

Nice mixed-use building from BDPQ with an affordable rental, condo and retail mix.

2810 Bayview | 138.3m | 42s | Osmington Gerofsky | Wallman Architects l pre-construction

One of the better-looking offerings from Wallman (lately). Under new ownership this one jumped from 8 storeys to 42 storeys.

The podium bases of those Vaughn towers are just bizarre. Made to look like something old and precious was preserved, but it is merely ersatz.

Nice detail on 2475 Dundas to statisfy the city with wider sidewalks and not eat up too much in maximizing the lot area. It's probably just the rendering. The tower feels much larger than 750 square metres. In other words, more, longer, narrower shoeboxes

The cornice replacement (currently missing) just makes me angry. Only so much in the budget for x amount of linear feet?

Yeah, might as well just rebuild the entire cornice.

uOttawa projects are frustratingly mundane compared to this.
