I get it. I was more team focused than driver. I was for McLaren and my brother-in-law was for Ferrari.... but we both disliked Williams, so we had that in common.

I mean, I root for Aston Martin in the current age. Marginally because they have a Canadian driver (meh) but mostly because they're an underdog, have a cool brand, and... Fernando, of course, haha!

Maybe we should move the race to January/February and make it the first race of the year. Slap some winter tires on those machines and have ourselves a proper Canadian Grand Prix ! Instead of a safety car, we could have a zamboni.....

I like what I'm seeing from the new cars! smaller and faster should make for good racing. Cadillac look like they may be competitive as well with their first ever car.

The engine compression loophole Merc is taking advantage will be interesting to see in action.

~15hp more.

Yeah, I'm a bit worried about that one. And why AM is waiting to test their car on the 4th day in Barcelona... it's likely either really bad or really good.

Two rumours out there it seems:

1. They are WAY behind with their power unit development.

2. They are being coy with their aero, to minimize opportunities for others to replicate.

Feeling that it is #1.

I am also worried about #1. But I wouldn't put it past Daddy Stroll for the latter. Though with day 4 nearly over already and AM not in play... doesn't look good.

Maybe they are just worried Lance will beach it and cause damage on day 1 lol.

It's out and running, finally. Apparently has a bunch of quirky bits (aero + suspension) that is raising eyebrows. Not much else to report.

Ugh. Not looking great this year for AM. I'm really worried about that engine. For others (Mercedes, RB, Ferrari) it looks a lot more promising and competitive.

With the conflict in the Middle East likely lasting at minimum several month, will the Grands Prix in the Middle East be canceled this year? Has there been precedent for this in the past? Even if there is a ceasefire, there may be potential for proxy and/or terrorist attacks.

On the list are:
Bahrain
Saudi Arabia
Azerbaijan
Qatar
Abu Dhabi

Was wondering the same thing. Trump seems determined to flatten Iran, so this is likely going to escalate. I worry for the World Cup as well, terrorists will have both in their sights for sure!
