Here is a London Free Press article on this sale:

https://lfpress.com/news/local-news/tham...-future-school-southwest-london?tbref=hp

Article also mentions that the two TVDSB elementary schools currently under construction in London (one near Pack and Bostwick, and one near Sunningdale and Hyde Park) are still on schedule to open this September.

I delivered to that new school in the southwest on Monday and I'll be shocked if it's ready for September. They may be able to do a small start up in stages like Cedar Hollow in the northeast several years ago (my niece went to that school when it opened and it was only a couple grades the first year and partial services).

Construction of the new elementary school at the NE corner of Regiment and Pack Rd is complete from a structural point of view with the concrete block walls and steel all installed. Some of the windows are now in on the ground floor. Exterior finishing should be starting soon and I suspect alot of interior rough-in work is already underway. Should be ready to open this Sept.

Window units and exterior insulation now being installed on the new elementary school now being built up in Fox Hollow at Buroak Dr and Fair Oaks. Should see masonry contractor start installing the exterior brick in the coming months. Lots of progress on the interior electrical, plumbing and HVAC rough-ins as well.

Structural steel now up for a two story rectangular building for the new Regina Mundi Catholic HS on Wellington Rd S. There must be more in the plans because what is there now is quite small. Not sure if they are waiting on school year to end to start on additional work. Haven't see any renders of what the new school will look like as of yet?

Wrecking crews quickly laying waste to Fairmont PS. Was surprised how fast it was coming down when I drove by yesterday.

It's gone with only the foundation footings left to dig out and haul away the steel and concrete and bricks. Look for to seeing the draft plans for this site and what if anything happens to the YMCA next door.

Big pour happening today at the new Regina Mundi HS on Wellington Rd S. with concrete pump truck and parade of cement trucks pouring the second floor slab on the new north-south section. Suspect they are only doing a portion of the second floor today as this wing is quite large. Most of the structural steel is now installed on the connecting wing to the original gym section.

A zoning application has been submitted by Landea Developments for a large block of land on the south side of Sunningdale about halfway between Wonderland and Hyde Park for a potential TVDSB high school.

The high-school is contingent on the TVDSB getting provincial funding...the zoning application "also provides for an alternate development concept for the subject lands, to be executed only if the school proposal falls through." The alternate concept includes some apartment buildings and townhouses.

Planning application notice: https://london.ca/sites/default/files/2025-05/OZ25052-NoticeofApp.pdf

Here are a couple documents provided by the applicant:

The masonry contractor has made a lot of progress building the concrete block walls on both new wings of the new Regina Mundi HS on Wellington Rd S. Interior and Exterior concrete block walls are built on various sections including the 2nd floor.

It's kind of wild that a school from 1973 (Saunders) is still the newest public high school in London.
