Rookwood Avenue is closed around the construction site today so they can do the Big Pour; pouring the foundation for the second building.

Work started before 7am and there's been a steady stream of concrete trucks going to the site all day. Two concrete pump boons are being used.

Maybe the big crane will be moved once the basement/foundation has had time to cure.

The tower crane is coming down as I type this. (I'll try to post a picture later). It should be going up on the second building site shortly.

Hmm, something seems up with the crane move.

They got the tower parts moved over on Monday but didn't move the boom and control sections up.

All day yesterday, they seemed to have problems with the crane they were using to move the tower crane around, and there was no changes.

And now today, they took down all the tower pieces again, so the tower crane is in pieces across the build site.

Not sure what's going on, but I suspect there's some unhappy planners over there right now, watching their schedules melt away.

After 3 weeks with the tower crane on the ground, they are finally setting it up on the second building site. The core of the tower is up now, and they're getting the crane cabin part up now it seems.

The second building is coming along well but slowing down due to the winter. They are pouring concrete for the second/third floors now.

I'm not sure how true this is, but I did hear there was a major problem with the windows installed on the first building (they leak), which means they'll have to all (or mostly) be replaced. The building itself is probably 80-85% complete now. Supposedly tenants will be able to start moving in in March, but I find that a bit hard to believe, given the main entrance is still a major construction zone.

The Tower Crane came down today (Oct 16).

The first building is complete with people moved in. The second building is slowly closing up; I suspect they'll be getting windows in to finish sealing it up over the next month or so.
