The Arc de Triomphe in Paris; the Gherkin in London; the Bird's Nest in Beijing.........The Arc in Vancouver, of course!

Well to be fair, the Arc de Triomphe, the Gherkin and the Bird's Nest all use window wall too.

Ummmm… wait, wat?

Never mind.

It's never a good sign when half of the marketing video is about buildings other than the one being marketed. I give it that the building looks interesting, but I am not totally sold on it yet.

I like the suspended pool they show in the video. I wonder if it is actually planned or just some rendering fluff.

Got this info from a realtor mailing list I'm on regarding The Arc.

Quote:
Here is the Inside Update:

Expect prices to range from $900-1200/sf and sales should begin in mid to late January.
The building has two towers with a "Skybridge" connecting the towers at the top.
Expect water views of English Bay to the south for many of the suites.
The towers will have smaller 2 bedrooms and 1 bedrooms.
The Skybridge will have the larger suites and penthouses as well as the amenities.
The pool will be on the lowest level of the Skybridge and will have a glass bottom.
That pricing...

I think they mean views of False Creek and not English Bay. You cannot see English Bay from here.

Glass-bottom pool sounds very pointless, but I guess it's cool.

Concord did do a pool feature at One Pacific - and this is the 2nd phase, so a pool feature ties in.

It's like the pool at 1000 Beach, but higher up.

I like this building...But I'm sure a lot of people, children especially, will be scared of a glass bottomed pool that high up.

I'm sure people are more likely to buy because of it than they are to not buy because of it.

Concord doesn't want to waste any air space either if they can build more condo units

the close ups look nice. from the aerial view, it looks like two vancouver special towers gimmickily connected at the top.
