I think it's in general quite nice, but I don't know what they were thinking with the blue siding in the back, visible in your other photos. I was disappointed when I saw that.

R.C. Jane is the owner of the Edison and the properties to the south including Village Plaza (3343 Westerwald Street). W.M. Fares on behalf of R.C. Jane has applied to rezone 3325-3343 Westerwald Street. Their plan is to get the properties included in the Dutch Village SPS and redevelop the site with a six-storey residential building that meets the C2C zoning requirements.

This property is already part of the development agreement for The Edison project, is owned by the same company, and the proposed building will share a driveway. I've decided this thread is the best place for this project to be discussed.

No idea what this would look like given the skimpy details in the attached report. Google maps reveals the site currently has a 1960s 3-storey walk-up apartment building which probably looked OK when it was new and a couple of single-family houses.

Permits have been submitted for 3343 WESTERWALD STREET. It will be 164 units which is significantly bigger than mentioned in the report a couple of posts up.

I've updated the thread title. The building permit has been submitted for 3331 WESTERWALD and it has been bumped up to 9 FLOORS - 164 UNITS.

This means the original plans shown in the rezoning request above are no longer accurate.

R C Jane hasn't update their website in years. They just finished Delmore Suites in 2025 and it's not even listed on their site. This development will replace "Village Plaza" in their property list.
