Looks nice.

I notice the GO train behind it - but that's the end of the line so it's not going to be creating any excess noise. The other trains running through there are slow and don't make much noise.

The MLS listing states "NO CONDO FEE'S". Will it kick in after a year or two? I don't see how they cant not have condo fees.

Depends on what you mean by "excess noise." They turn the engines on around 4:30am (or so I'm told).

I think they actually idle all night on the weekdays as well. They only turn them off on the weekends, I believe. I've gone down to the GO station at midnight and the engines were sitting there idling, hours after the end of service to Hamilton.

When they're idle, they don't make that much noise. And the building isn't immediately behind the tracks. so it should minimize the noise a bit.

Actually, I drive by those ones in London now and then, and they are absolutely spectacular. The street they're on is too busy for them to be right up to the sidewalk. Of course, it would be nicer if there were a bunch like that right next to each other to form a real neighbourhood, but at least it's a start.

Same with this development in Hamilton. I really dislike the feel of the neighbourhood with its disjointed and detached single-family homes, but you've got to start somewhere.

I'm guessing they are freehold townhouses, not condos. Owner responsible for maintenance.

You're right. I thought I saw them listed as condos, but they're not.

More please.

So many small lots south of the tracks and north of Wilson would be fine candidates for this kind of development.

Are those finished or are they putting more brick veneer on? The grey stucco is pretty ugly.

All the units are sold, but I'd still like to see what the interior looks like.

I like those big cornices and two story entries. But what's with those giant brick veneer archways, is that just aesthetic

I was really hoping that grey stucco wasn't the final stage. Really ugly. In the renderings the entire thing had brick.

If only the entire Young St. side was covered by brick, I that would have made a huge difference.

I don't hate the stucco, but they should have gone with another colour like a taupe or beige colour, just to give the units some warmth. But other than that, it's a nice infill property.
