It looks to me as if they strayed from this design. The windows look nothing like this. And the parking garage is a lot larger.

Even though it's not complete i'm very dissapointed with the texas monthly building. The renderings look like mostly office space but the reality is that it is mostly parking garage. Looks like 1/3 the office space and 2.5 times the parking space.

Yeah, I'm really hoping they stick to the design for the Andaz Hotel. I didn't have high hopes for this building though. It is what it is, basically a suburban office building. Was this building supposed to have street level retail?

I hope so. This isn't even as nice as what's on Riata Trace Parkway of 183.

And only the top two floors have floor to ceiling glass.

Hmmm... perhaps this is actually the veiw from the south looking north inverted on the x z plane!

AGREE with the disappointment so far. Doesn't look like we'll get the "green" garage either. I know they are not done... but I "ain't" feelin' good about it.

The one below looks a lot deeper then the one above... Did they tear down this building then?

Cause this is where Texas Monthly is moving into

Of course it doesn't mean anything, but just looking at this rendering and the unequal height of the first floor (could just be cause of the lobby but I don't think so), I imagine it will.

Look at the colored section, it's height and what looks like signage makes me think there will be street level retail just like the majority of the development's buildings.

From this rendering it looks as if the parking garage partially sits under the top two stories.

Perhaps they are going to extend the building like this? If so it will look something like the rendering still more parking garage than advertized. But I'll pretty sure it's not going to happen as there is glass installed on the back.

yeah i see where your going with your idea but if they were planning on building around the garage they would have done it as it was going up.

I agree with what you're both saying with the renderings but these are two construction pictures and they don't match up...

I thought there was suppose to be more then just one building under construction...

I took a closer look at the building today and it looks as if they could make it a green garage as there as the garage is setback from the rest of the facade and some kind of lattice for vines could be installed flush with the rest.

NThomas, it's the same building. First photo is looking south. Second photo northeast. Site prep is ongoing at the other building sites, but I don't think they're in a hurry to start throwing up the actual structures.

Watching that parking structure go up was pretty annoying. It's way bigger than what's depicted in the renderings. Hopefully they haven't scapped the greenery.

Hope you are right!

And NThomas..... good snooping! I had never noticed the garage went under the building! But I have to agree with N'geNyus.... I think it would have been part of the construction process. It was probably a big cut back when they decided to build the garage in a completely different construction method than the rest of the building. Shame.

I wonder when they will actually start construction of the other buildings, they seem to be moving alot of dirt but not much els at the moment.

With the economy the way it is, seeing dirt tossed around is a good sign.
