I can't really say otherwise until I've seen both teams play, but I'm really not feeling like that'll be the case.

I've yet to even see how the Stamps' new defence will look, since they'll have a completely different system from last season, which is definitely a good thing.

I was at a game last season, and our touchdown horse ran into a security guard.

Yes, Boomer will be at the opening night. He'll be at the endzone scare away the visitors.

Martin Short will also be at the game. During the half time they'll be a magic show, Greg Frewin from Las Vegas. Boomer is suppose to disappear during the magic show.

Comedian and actor Martin Short also returns to his hometown of Hamilton to take in all the excitement of opening night at Ivor Wynne Stadium.

"Some of the greatest moments of my childhood were spent at Ivor Wynne Stadium cheering on Bernie Faloney and the boys," said Short. "There’s nothing hipper than the CFL. I pity the American’s envy."

From an economic standpoint, Hamilton NEEDS to win this game. The bloom is starting to come off of Bob Young's rose, and ticket sales are starting to dip towards an unhealthy point (and it's difficult to blame the Ti-Cat faithful, given what kind of product they have seen infront of them). A loss here, and it sets the season (economically) down a slippery slope.

On the bright side, Montreal is limping into Steeltown with a solid number of their regulars out. The opportunity is ripe for this franchise to give the fans (and in turn, reverted to the franchise) a boost.

My only concern is, who does Casey have to throw the ball too?

I guess Quebec City (the whole province for that matter) is quite the football hotbed.

our university team is doing quite well and 10-15000 are attempting to the games, but there are only four local games; the stadium will be improve in the next few years but I am not convince that the CFL can use it (maybe 1-2 years)

we need a CFL stadium ...and the investissors who came with it and for sure a place to put it

but a rivalty Halifax-Quebec-Montreal should be good tothe CFL, and who look like the one in the Q league, beetween the Remps, the Moose and the new Junior team

I don't disagree with you, but teams are going to stack the box against Hamilton. Unless they are willing to gun 5-wide all game, they will see 8 men in the box. Of course, if they go 5-wide it means they are putting out a tonne of question marks and below average talent. Jesse is a big boy and can carry the load, but somebody is going to have to take the pressure off some times. Perhaps Casey can with his legs, but I doubt the Tabbies want their franchise player scrambling early and oftern just to generate offense.

As for DJ Flick, he was productive last year, but unfortunately for Hamilton he is a Saskatchewan Roughrider, so no chance there. Tony Miles is the best they have, and he has had injury woes the last year or two. Not too mention he is undersized, and has never been more then a weak #2 option at best his whole career. Even if Chris Bauman has a breakout year, they will still need at least two other players to be able to bring it consistently, and with no vets that will be hard. Perhaps a split-back set with Terry Caulley would take a little bit of attention off of Lumsden, but in the end of the day, you can't win in the CFL if you can't sling the rock.

So many promising receivers that never worked out in Hamilton - Dimitrius Breedlove, Lamar Slade, Darnerien McCants, Nate Curry.

Bauman looked promising last year, but he needs to hang on to more balls in key situations.
