Per Clover's "find a clover" map, it looks like Denver takes that title. Also Stumptown has several Clovers per shop- one with four (that's at $11,000 a pop, ladies and gentlemen)- no place in Vancouver has more than 2, so far. In fact I'm not aware of a shop in Van that has more than one, but I haven't been to Van since last summer.
That's what the folks who make it told me, but that was actually about nine months ago. It's such a new machine that my facts are probably off. Personally, I'm not a huge Clover fan--more of an espresso guy--but it's nice to see such a versatile piece of technology/machinary. Plus, it's nice to see it come from this continent.

It's time for an LOL:

LOL! We're on the same page-- I feel like such a vulgarian for saying this, but I don't find clover coffee a bit better than a properly-made drip (with fresh and ample grounds), and prefer the "texture" of a french press much more- but I totally am on side with you- espresso is flavour country- nothing will change that for me! Now having said that, I feel the same way about a Clover as I do about a Mistral or a Cyncra: It tells me this coffeehouse is serious. HOWEVER, I have had outstanding espressos (and macchiatos and so forth) from Elektras, La San Marcos, Nuova Simonellis, La Cimbalis, and at least one undrinkable espresso from a LM Linea, so really, there's more to good coffee than the trendiest labels, and I sometimes am bothered by a tendency in the Van-Vic-Sea-Pdx "empire" to eschew anything but Synesso or LM. My favourite coffeehouse here in Calgary uses an Elektra Moderne and they absolutely kick ass with the pulls, the art, the freshness, etc etc etc.

We should continue this in PM but it's great to talk coffee

Okay--it hasn't changed much though. They just broke ground on another tower.

PDX Great pics....I used to live in those brick townhomes (on SW Vista) next to those apartments in your second pic....(the ones with all the grass lawns, flowers and Redwood trees.)
I really like how the Civic turned out..that wading pool/fountain in the Pearl appears to be very popular..

Me too...and I hated the shit out of the renderings and loathed it as it rose from the ground. The details are not up to say Holst or Hacker standards, but not too bad at all.

You should. It is a peaceful scenic walkable city. I highly recommend going to visit Portland. It is America's secret. Great place and no need for a car to visit. Nice pics and thanks for making me want to visit again.

Awesome pics, you're making me homesick! I can't believe the growth that's occurred just in the last 2 1/2 years since I left. Have any pics of the new Aerial Tram or South Waterfront areas? Lair Hill was my old neighborhood.

For photos of South Waterfront, there are usually updates every week by NW forumers. Dougall is the most prolific of the camera-weilding Portlanders and just posted quite a few new photos this weekend. You can see them here.

And the Blazer's having the number one draft pick isn't going to hurt. The Sonics having the number two spot isn't too shabby either.
