Update time!!
Some of the new buildings have names finally. not all the buildings have names but these are some of my favorites so they have names:
This building is called
One Sunny Place. It is 724 feet tall. Construction started in 1948 and completed in 1950. it is mainly residential but there is also office space near the bottom and retail on the first 5 floors. some other buildings were hidden so I could take the image. it was renovated including a new paint job in 1995.
Here is the
Livertain Plaza. Livertain is a film and brodcasting company. This big antenna on the roof brodcasts their TV and radio stations all over the Otahita metro area. It is 568 feet to the roof but a whhiopping 822 feet to the top of the antenna. construction finished in 1989. Livertain is currently filming a movie in the city I will show you in another update!
this one is called
The Credmore Building, named after the credit card company that owns and occupies it to this day. construction finished in 1978. it is 610 ft. tall. This is one of the top dog corporations in Otahita and they have plans for a future building.
Here's Otahita's tallest!! It is 1,165 feet tall but there may be a spire in its future. It is called
The Titan Building and was completed only recently in 2006. It is probably my favorite because the design is so sleek. it is a mixed use building including residential, hotels, mostly office, but lots of retail too. a retraunt sits in the very top part and has a beautiful view of the city.
These are the
Synergy Towers. they are Otahita's first twins, though i don't know if they're considered twins because they're touching. they are both 1,086 feet to the tip of the antennas making them the second tallest in the city (only if including antennas). They were both scheduled to be completed the same exact time in november of 2001, however, complications in 200 Synergy Tower (the one on the left in the pic) caused it to finish two months later in jan. of 2002 while 100 Synergy Tower completed on time in nov. of 2001.
thanks for reading! more to come!
