Ramsay Sime Darby's ParkCity Medical Centre earns first gold standard JCI accreditation, wins Frost and Sullivan 2020 Best Practices Award
Syafiqah Salim February 05, 2021 16:15 pm +08

Quote:
KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 5): ParkCity Medical Centre (PMC) — a hospital under Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (RSDH), a 50:50 joint venture between Sime Darby Bhd and Ramsay Health Care Ltd — has been recognised and accredited by the global leader healthcare accreditation Joint Commission International (JCI) for its well-managed organisation and commendable high quality of care and patient safety standards.

RSDH said PMC now joins the elite group of 977 healthcare facilities worldwide that have achieved the JCI Accredited Standard and Gold Seal of Approval.

"This year's accreditation process of PMC, a hospital under RSDH, was conducted virtually for the first time in Malaysia by the body due to the ongoing pandemic by a team of international healthcare experts," said RSDH.

By Crystal Hsu / Staff reporter

Eslite Spectrum Corp (誠品生活), which runs the Eslite bookstore chain in Taiwan and abroad, yesterday inked an agreement with Malaysia’s YTL Corp Bhd to open a branch in downtown Kuala Lumpur in 2022.

The two sides signed the partnership via a teleconference to launch the Taiwanese bookstore brand in YTL’s mixed-use property The Starhill in Bukit Bintang, a central business district in the Malaysian capital.

Despite the company’s aim to grow its business abroad, Eslite Spectrum chairwoman Mercy Wu (吳旻潔) said that she was initially hesitant about expanding to Malaysia when the world was in the grip of a pandemic.

MAHB inks MRO operations deal with Skyways Technics in Subang
By Farah Adilla May 18, 2021 @ 4:15pm

Quote:
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Skyways Technics Group to expand the maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) component of Subang Airport Regeneration plan.

In a statement today, MAHB said Skyways Technics Groups will be expanding its regional Asia Pacific hub at Subang Airport with a full-fledged MRO facilities.

The collaboration marks MAHB' commitment to further strengthen Subang Airport's position as a regional aviation and aerospace hub.

It also marks the confidence level of major global aerospace players such as Skyways Technics to expand its regional operation right here in Subang Airport.

With active engagements such as these under the five-year Subang Airport Regeneration initiatives, Subang Airport is poised to become Asia Pacific's preferred MRO hub for ATR and regional aircraft, attracting RM1 billion in international and domestic investments, MAHB said.

The Danish company, with more than 30 years of experience in maintenance of regional aircraft such as ATR, aircraft component MRO services, and spare parts support, established its Asian headquarters outside of Denmark in Subang Airport back in 2014 with only a component repair workshop.

Randhill said the MRO activities in this region are set to grow by 150 per cent over the next 10 years totalling US$21.7 billion.

Porsche, Shell announce EV charging network in Malaysia; six charging stations ready by 1H 2022
31 Mar 2021 2:58 pm

Quote:
Porsche Asia Pacific and Shell have partnered for the implementation of Southeast Asia’s first cross-border, high-performance electric vehicle charging network, the companies announced in a joint statement. This will be comprised of 12 charging points at six Shell stations located along the North-South Expressway in Malaysia, offering EV drivers the convenience of travelling between Singapore and Peninsular Malaysia.

This partnership will have six Shell stations outfitted with 180 kW DC chargers each with two CCS Type 2 connectors. The setup will enable a single electric vehicle to be charged at the full 180 kW rate, or two vehicles at 90 kW each.

This network of chargers will be rolled out in stages, beginning with four stations (Seremban R&R Northbound, Seremban R&R Southbound, Jalan Ayer Hitam, Melaka (off highway) and Tangkak Layby) that will be ready in the second half of this year, and another two (Simpang Pulai and Tapah R&R) by the first half of 2022.

These will complement Shell’s existing network of EV chargers that is comprised of 18 ‘Reserve + Shell Recharge’ charging points in Malaysia, while Singapore has 18 Shell Recharge 50 kW fast-charging points and 87 Greenlot public charging points.
