At least it's flag people and not police.

Hasn't it always? haha

They're still not stripping the awful split-face concrete block from the stairwells. Cross your fingers those go in the trash soon.

They did strip the panels off of the stairwell area on the left tower so let's hope the rest of the panel will be removed as well.

Man, my wife started her federal government career in that building...it's going to look very different when it's done. Does anyone know if the central atrium and waterfall are being kept? I always really liked seeing that (when it was running) there whenever I went to visit my wife on lunch breaks.

I like the bird safe glass' vertical lines, simulating the blinds that were omni present for nearly 50 years.

Nothing earth shattering but it looks pretty good, especially for a gov building. Will add some much needed modernity to Gatineau's skyline, along with the TdlC re-clad.

Wow such an improvement. And progress seems to be going decently fast, especially for a government project.

Just realized this project was still marked as "Proposed". Updated now.

Looks quite good. I will somewhat miss the 70s and 80s look of these Federal Complexes, but at the same time, this is much needed to modernize the skyline.

I'm just glad that Phase iv isn't part of the reclad. That has always been my favourite of the brutalist buildings in Gatineau.

Wonder what the pre-cast will look like.

EDIT: of all the project updates you posted, this one is the only one that seems to have worked.

I'm curious what they will be doing with the concrete stairwell exteriors or whatever it is they are. Please tell me they will get some type of treatment and not be like those awful barcode towers on Bronson.

Windows are already barcode-esque, so yeah, really hoping for something solid and uniform for the stairwells.
