This is what I found

Not sure if this is accurate, but it says 70 Floors and it is at Roosevelt and Michigan. I really hope it is, because this looks spectacular

So this is the previous project, designed by Stanley Saitowitz, that is cancelled, according to what Sam and I (and others) were discussing a few pages back.

The new building, designed by Vinoly was kinda sorta seen in the rendering that was discovered a week or so ago, and abruptly pulled by the developer on their website, so we have not yet seen the full building design. I guess I'm just recapping for myself too since this entire development is confounding. I really can't understand why Crescent Heights is being so weird on this one - I can only assume there might be some type of design delay....otherwise if not, just release the damn thing.

Nice!! I had not seen any of the renderings before. I think the cladding color is perfect. It will be the Ying to the Sears Tower's Yang. Exciting!

I notice in the rendering they have removed some of the lower level balconies.

The massing there is excellent. Looking for some education, does the massing here denote a style yet or does it depend on the facade?

Fantastic! Thank you!! More excited about this 'unveiling' than probably for any other tower as of yet this cycle....

Yup it's offical it's tonight.

Quote:
Miami developer Crescent Heights finally lifts the veil tonight on a big residential skyscraper it plans on the south end of Grant Park. The long-running mystery over the site at the southeast corner of Michigan Avenue and Roosevelt Road has kept observers guessing what Crescent Heights, and condominium and apartment development developer, might build there. The speculation heated up about a month ago when real estate blogs uncovered a page on the company's website describing a development there with 1,900 units and 30,000 square feet of retail space. The page has since been taken down

The scale model is here at the meeting. I'll let someone with photo posting ability take the photo credit. I like it. It's like a modern, residential take on the Sears Tower. Very Chicago.
