Driving video: Halifax is a peninsula, and the Macdonald Bridge was the first suspension bridge linking it to Dartmouth. Also covers Barrington Street and Spring Garden Road (two main streets).

Mackay Bridge at night (slow video but still neat). The other bridge has a reversible lane to work with rush hour demand, but the Mackay is busy in both directions: downtown Halifax employees return home to Dartmouth, while those who work in the Burnside Industrial Park (in Dartmouth) head home to Halifax or Clayton Park.

I know I'll get bitch-slapped for this, but here goes...

That is the "Working Class Canadian" pronunciation of Toronto. The same familiar dialect you hear at any local hockey arena. Yes, it is the preferred choice of the masses, but not the only pronunciation Torontonians say.

my friend grew up in stratford and his parents too and they totally had accents it was weird

I missed IGLOOFEST this year! I was all set, bought my 9-day Igloopass, then had to go to London for a family funeral the day after it began. I contracted the Norwalk virus after the funeral and couldn't return until the day after it ended!
