good news on the ski resort front:

Tamarack Resort (about 2.5 hours north of Boise), which has been in stasis for a number of years, finally got new owners this month, and they will restart construction on the main village with hopes of completing the project in the next couple of years.

more good news on actual downtown projects.

according to the Idaho Press, the Moshie Safdie-designed main library design contract has been approved, though they will be making some adjustments to cut down on costs.

current plan is to develop it in two phases: first phase being the main library building, and second phase adding an events center, with both phases completed by 2022.

according to Boisedev.com, the 27th Street Condos have been approved. it's not a big project, but it will add density to the western edge of downtown in an area that will likely eventually see additional mid- to high-density projects.

this is a new proposed "Lusk/Shoreline" district on the southern edge of the CBD. while no official projects have yet been announced, several developers have already expressed interest in this area.

much-needed Ronald McDonald House expansion broke ground last week. It'll be next to the current facility, by the St Luke's campus on the eastern edge of downtown.

not development related, but the annual TreeFort Music Festival, held in 20 locations downtown over a 5-day period, just released its final 2019 lineup -- 432 bands total this year.

I'm surprised they're using a tower crane for the Hotel2 Suites. it's only 7-8 floors, depending on which story you believe.
