Street-level looks decent too, though I wish I could say the same for the office building...

Another TOD in Calgary; University City

I don't have a construction pic, but the taller two towers are well-underway.

Vancouverites cannot get enough of tiny condos near skytrain stations.

First phase of Station Square in Burnaby, 269 condos sold out on Oct 20th.

MC2 in Vancouver just had it's opening weekend and of it's 230 condos, over 80% are already sold.

I like the design of the first phase of Station Square.

M2 is to be the new tallest in Coquitlam, correct? The one with that wicked amenities area on the top floor?

M2 and MC2 are two totally different proposals. He mentioned M2 in his last post, on September 1.

I think that's M3, which will be the tallest.

Surrey's 3 Civic Plaza. A 48-storey, 541-foot mixed used residential and hotel tower that will flank a new urban plaza and city hall adjacent to the Surrey Central skytrain station. Construction is supposed to begin in 2013.

vacnouver really loves its mall reconstructions as of late. How many malls are being planned to be rebuilt into condo complexes now? 4? 5?

3 existing. But each time the malls themselves are being retained (and indeed expanded) not replaced with condos. Also the Brentwood one (the largest of all) also has a rather large office component, with 2 office towers up to 40 floors tall currently within the final build out scope of the project.

As for completely new complexes, there is also the Marine Station mall / condo / office project currently u/c (1 office tower, 2 condo towers, and a mall at the base beside the train station).

And Metrotown mall is completing its 3rd office tower this year, all over 100 meters tall. Metrotown won't be redeveloped any time soon as most of it is relatively new, they are just building a bunch of new major towers (one of them to be the fifth tallest in BC at completion) in the immediate area surrounding the mall. That area is already the metro areas secondary core, in a good 3 or 4 years, it's going to look like a major city of its own.

Awesome! I am always happy when suburban malls/parking lots disappear with dense urban development. I need to get to the west coast one of these days.

The first two phases of University City in Calgary. The cladding looks pretty nice actually I love the coloured panels. The spandrel is to be expected.

I think TOD is really one area where Vancouver is a clear leader for the entire country. Vanman has been doing a great job highlighting the ongoing TOD projects in Metro Vancouver and a big thanks to him.

Transit is nowadays the biggest key selling point for any condo tower in Metro Vancouver and so there aren't many 20+ floor developments in all Lower Mainland that wouldn't be TOD. One new tower on Kingsway is the only building coming to my mind that isn't next to a Skytrain station.
