I liked the photo with the big word "Toronto" infront of the city hall of Toronto. It really made me think, "Hmm.. Toronto."

Oh hahahahaha

how 'odd'

Anywho, I enjoy pictures of all cities, even the one I live in because I get to see it through a different light.

I was going to post a picture I took in Toronto two weeks ago but this is the post *your* city thread, so I will share one of Thunder Bay instead:

The bike loop that says "Thunder Bay" really screams "This is Thunder Bay", imo.

Did you ever post the ones you shared of the skyline from, practically, Florida?

It got lots of likes on Facebook and my coworkers thought it was awesome but I posted it here and someone posted a photo of Baisez-le dans le cul, Quebec right after that and it got ignored.

I think I only saw it on Facebook, sorry. I tried to go back a few pages and find it but it's lost in all my photos of St. John's.

I posted it in the Skylines thread. I'll look for it and re-post it here though, we'll see what happens.

From Hamilton. Specifically, from the 7th floor of the Sheraton Hotel in Hamilton.

It wasn't visible at all times, it seemed to come and go depending on atmospheric conditions. I guess this day the air was dry enough that it didn't get obscured by the water vapour. It was visible at night much of the time (you could tell it was the CN tower because it was lit up pink and purple, which seems to be its default colours) but none of the photos I took turned out, I didn't have my tripod.

C'est un peu gratuit ton commentaire, mon gars.
In fact, you posted your picture, it was nice, but it was flooded in the middle of a Windsor, ON psychosis. Thanks for blaming Quebec anyway.

I'd blame Toronto but I didn't want to look like I was jumping on a bandwagon.

I've seen a few pics like this, one very recently in-focus and showing a bit more. Interesting perspective though. Regarding the CN Tower lighting scheme, it changes frequently honouring special days or events. Did you make it out to Toronto?

By the way, Shappy's got a freaktastically jaw-dropping selection of standout Toronto pics in a different photo thread that deserves a link from here.

This is only from the 7th floor of a building downtown, through glass, and it was hand held, so I didn't even expect it to be as in-focus as it is. I was amazed that I was able to see that far in the first place. You could barely make it out with the naked eye.

On the way home I stashed my mom in a Tim Hortons for 15 while I got some photos of TD Centre and First Canadian Place, but otherwise I didn't get much of Toronto. If the weather was nicer I might have taken a day trip to the city, we got to Hamilton the day after it stopped being warm. People kept blaming us for bringing cold weather from the north.

I'm still working on editing the photos from the trip, I'm going to try to have a photo thread up in the coming weeks. I still managed to get a few hundred photos of both cities even though I didn't have much free time.
