^This is why I was a member of hfboards for about an hour. I logged in and logged out pretty quick. I don't need to put up with that junk. A bunch of half wit hockey fans blabbering on about nothing.

I dont know wtf is wrong with Hellebunk this year . But he is really starting to look like Pavvy.
Yes defence can be better, but his saves have been sloppy, he cannot control rebounds, and his save percentage sucks.

We are know 4th in the central, like ffs with Calgary doing well this year if we keep Hellebunk on net we won't even get the wild card spot. Sad when you see the talent this team has .

^ The number of blown leads is becoming alarming. It feels like there have been a lot of them this season.

No kidd8ng. And usually to sub par teams. When they play full 60 which is rare they win. But this just reminds me of the Jets of 2015..2016 season again.

And more then likely this will be our best chance of a cup run since we have to sign alot of big contracts up.

I say bench Belle and keep the backup out till he falters..
Belle also needs to go have some alone time with his trainer as this isn't a six milli9n dollar goalie.

The Jets look so good out there. They dominate the play and then all of a sudden they get shook. They should be in 1st right now if they hadn't blown the recent 3 loses like they did.

The lost points are huge when it comes down to the end of the year. Maybe it's their ploy to get into the Pacific this year and avoid NSH!

Ha... now that you mention it, Maurice always seems surprisingly chill and nonchalant at his post game pressers after a blown lead. Maybe there is method to the madness!

In the end they'll make the playoffs. I don't see them completely collapsing.

But I do agree Hellebuyck needs to get himself in order. A couple softies last night. The Crosby backhand was nice. It's hard for goalies on those cross body shots. Scheifele scored the same goal, but on his forehand.

Do you think his problem might be the new chest protectors that were implemented? Maybe he relies too much on fundementals and doesn't have the reflexes to make the adjustments?

Hellebuycks made it clear he is not a fan of the new equipment. He's said he has bruises from shots that sneak through the gaps in the new pads. Maybe it's in his head now to try and alter his play so he doesn't get injured? That doesn't explain some of the weak plays he's having down low.

Save percentages across the entire NHL are down this year, so it's affecting every goalie the same. And that's what the NHL wanted – more goals.

Also, Lemieux is terrible. Would rather have Dano or Appleton out there.

Why would the Jets want to avoid Nashville? We beat them last year.

Give Appleton a shot. I've heard that the AHL Petan-Roslovic-Appleton line went 10-0-1 for the Moose last season. Lemieux needs to sit, and they need to play the 4th line more.

Through a grinding 7 game series. They then went on to get shit kicked by Vegas. I'd like to avoid playing the top team in the league, if possible, or delay it until the Conference finals. There's usually a bit of a break before the Cup finals, so that'd be nice IMO.

Although I remember when Ottawa played Anaheim in the finals. Ottawa had something like a 10 day break before the finals. That's way too long and lead to their downfall.

I am not sure if you know how the playoff system works, but it's almost impossible that we could have avoided Nashville last season in the first two rounds. 4 teams in each Division made the playoffs, and there were no crossover series.

Bottom line: we beat Nashville, and went to the Conference Finals. If we would ahve played Vegas instead in the first round, we would ahve been knocked out right away.

I'm aware. I was talking about this year. As of this moment, Jets would fall into the Pacific division for playoffs.

It was actually more of a joke than anything. I would highly doubt the Jets are sandbagging.

Since Dallas won last night, Winnipeg is lined up with Nashville first round right now! haha

1st place team in the conference plays the 2nd wild card spot.
The other division leader plays the 1st place wild card spot.
Then the 2nd and 3rd place teams in each division play each other.

After 23 games last year the Jets were 14-6-3 (31 points), this year they are 13-8-2 (28 points). Keep in mind they have a game-in-hand on Minnesota, two on Nashville, Colorado and Chicago and three on Dallas.

The biggest surprise so far is the Sabres. Number one overall and 10-0 in their last ten.

Yup, still very early it ring the alarm bell.

Twitter is calling for PoMo to be fired, Hellebuyck's contract is the death of the Jets cup chances, why not bring back Pavs, free Niku (which I do agree with). It's just the frustration of the blown leads.
