It's actually shocking to think of the overall condition of dt not too many yrs ago.....certainly over 10 to 20 years ago. Improvements have been even harder to come by based on too many ppl being overly permissive about.....much too tolerant of.....just how broken down things were & had become. that includes ppl in the city who haven't done anything to things like the burned out corner of 4th & broadway.
this video was taken by a tourist from germany, who apparently is in LA to attend the emmy awards. It shows scenes that either didn't exist or would have been dilapidated....or out of service.....or a 1970s disaster like the former macys plaza.....not too long ago.
