Random computer question: So, my computer was starting the crawl in the past few weeks, so I ran my usual freeware malware and virus programs to see if anything needed cleaning up (Stinger, Malwarebyetes, AdwCleaner), and they found nothing or at least nothing that doesn't get cleaned out regularly. So, I downloaded something I thought was freeware, SpyHutner, which right away found what I can only assume are some years-old registry edits from Scorpion Save, Savings Bull, and RRSavings. It didn't turn out to be freeware after all, though, as it requires you to purchased it to go forward with the automatic removal/fix process. It allows you to manually go to the places in the registry to fix it, but I'm not at all sure if what needs deleting if anything needs deleting, and if it doesn't need deleting, how to correct the registry entries. Having more than once ruined my operating system by trying to mess with registries, I don't do anything manually anymore. Anyone know any good freeware malware removal programs that could automatically clean up the registry entries for these common malware programs? I can't seem to find anything.
