No doubt. Someone posted the towers get a lighting renovation every six years. Last one on Comcast Center was in 2014, so 2020 would be the next one...but we know how that year went. So I presume that the lights on Comcast 1 is an actual upgrade.
Comcast Technology Center's lights were tested from March-July 2018, then became permanent in the skyline in January 2019 after more sections of light were complete. Perhaps we'll see an upgrade on the CTC in 2025. With the additions of the W, Arthaus, The Laurel, Pavilion, and One Liberty receiving an upgrade in 2021, I definitely see LED's coming to the CTC soon

I know it flies more under the radar, but I think my favorite is the green "PSFS." They so rarely change it from red.

They had it blue when all the lights in the city were blue for Ukraine a couple months ago.

They should definitely change it more often.

I'd like to see a "party mode aka rainbow mode" on them in the summer, it would be a nice touch.

It's good to see the city is increasing it's light ambience

One Liberty's recent upgrade gives it that ability and it's awesome mixed with the FMC's version of it. Would be sick if they could all of them at once like it

I saw it this summer, and it's one of my favorite lighting scheme, especially when BNY MELLON does it too. such a nice touch. with some simple lighting.

Next upgrade on lights thats currently in the works is the Ben Franklin Bridge.

Great! I was literally on Google Earth two days ago looking at Arthaus and The Laurel under construction in 2020, wondering when the next update is coming. The update looks like it's dated around the end of August 2022

It would be neat to see a time-lapse growth of University City over the years.

I'm hoping Google updates the Center City streetview soon. Much of it is still from Nov 2020 (depressing).

And the satellite view over the Main Line, I like to spy teardown action (my real estate nerd hobby).

Also hoping Google updates Street view soon! Some views like Center City, Baltimore Ave and Olde Kensington are pretty outdated. Some have been updated though.

It turns out the CTC lighting is a bit of a hack and unlikely to be permanent:
Comcast Center expedites crown lights upgrade to turn Eagles green for the first time ever

Image of the hack
(Image too big so I'm not embedding it) lmk if you know a good way of controlling the image size without re-hosting the image.

Google Maps is now updated as well to August 2022. Streetview is still not updated in a lot of areas, but hopefully that's coming.

It's awesome to see all of the new projects now showing up!

Anyone know if the plan for the light refresh on CC1 is limited to just the crown, or if they're planning to do the striping all the way down the corners and behind the cutouts too?

As for CTC, while it's not as cool as a solid blade would look, it's remarkable how bring those LED strips are - Really impressive for what's just a rigged-temporary solution. I get that as you get higher up it's more difficult- if not ipossible to put the strips, but if they were able to make that a solution that lasted for years (with color-changing strips) I'd be ecstatic. They did a great job with that.

Something kindasorta like this (I know the CTC is just fantasy for now but CC1 should be doable)

Honestly, I think it would be dumb to light up the whole crown of Comcast 1 green and then take it down. Yes, that's the case with Comcast 2, but these lights are brighter than the previous set. I've seen the testing since December, which was before we even knew the Eagles were going to the Super Bowl. Plus I'm sure they're finally taking in the complaints from 2018.....but only putting LED lights in one tower. I'm keeping my faith for Comcast Center actually receiving an upgrade.

Speaking of, I got a sexy collection of photos from within the city tonight. I even got good ones of Manhattan at sunset previously, but that's not for this forum!

That's a great shot - and shows the exact strips I was trying to mimic with my shoddy edit above. From any distance, the bright white gets lost against the soft white. If they were to upgrade those to be brighter and match whatever color the crown was, it would be a tremendous upgrade.

I was told from my source that it will ONLY be the crown with new lighting. Unfortunately the white lit corners will stay, would've loved to see that upgraded too
