Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

Last year the woods across the greenbelt from the construction site were cleared of non-native shrubs and trees.

Fantastic shots. What kind of lens are you using? Like a 400mm?

(Forgive me if I'm way off or sound amateur. It would be because I am, and well, still trying to learn about photography)

It's obvious you aren't using a Smart or iPhone because your photos are so grandiose. Tell us.

Thanks Evo5Boise. I have a Nikon and mainly use my 140mm lens for casual point and shoot; the Redfish Lake pics were shot using this lens, as are most of my Boise photos I post in this thread. I also have a 300mm lens for super zoom, but only use that when I plan on having a tripod with me.

North of Ketchum|Above The Valley of The Big Wood #October 2022

Hemingway-Boulders Wilderness @Sawtooth National Forest #Idahome

I've had a few software technical difficulties, (photobucket vs flickr) now resolved. The Sun Valley/Ketchum/Sawtooh Valley photo thread I thought would be ready a few weeks ago is finally ready to post @my city photos this weekend. Sorting through 100's of photos, uploading the chosen to a host and then copying links and pasting into a thread takes some time.

We stayed in the cellar and the cottage. Both were pretty decent. Location is great. I think it has a new owner now, but when we were there they only did short-term stays of longer duration, like a month or so.
ETA: Looks like it is the same owner. She had it on the market for a while, but I guess she didn’t sell.

I am going to have to look at a map to see where the Warm Springs section is and check it out later this year when I'm up there again. I've said it before, your river makes ours look like an irrigation ditch and the tree canopy along the Boise River is beautiful and amazing!

The greenbelt is such an envious luxury. I am always interested in seeing your photos of different areas as it winds along the river.
