Construction date set for downtown Phoenix transit station redevelopment

We got our official ground-breaking date!

The 32-story tower figure is being stated again...

https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/...t-station.html
Quote:
Houston-based Medistar, the developer for the Central Station project, will officially begin construction on the site on April 13, though work is already underway at the 2.6-acre site, which is bounded by First Avenue to the west, Central Avenue to the east, Polk Street to the north and Van Buren Street to the south.

Now, the project will include a 32-story tower that will have 362 apartments and 70,000 square feet of office space, a 21-story tower with 435 rooms of student housing and 9,000 square feet of office space, 45,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurants.

Awesome that we have a ground-breaking date! But I give up on the final height of this project. I've sent another email to Medistar to see if they can verify the final height...but they have yet to reply to any of my inquiries in the past, so not expecting a reply here.

I'm sure they will be submitting multiple permits and plan reviews shortly. I'll try and keep an eye on them and send some records request. Maybe they will show the actual height.

Edit: I think this is a misprint. Corina references 32 stories with 362 apartment units in the article. Checking on Medistar's website shows there's 32 floors of student housing with 362 units alone in addition to the office and retail floors. So I think the tower is still going to be taller than 32 floors.

If it looks as good as the renderings show. We all know how that's been going lately
