Wow that is awesome!

They've gone down significantly farther over the past week. It appears that Brookfield Place is now at the bottom.

No expense spared. Very promising for the rest of the tower.

That podium is ridiculously massive!

The cladding looks very sharp. Everything from the tint to the perfectly rounded corner looks great. I can't wait to see more of this one.

I was afraid for the quality of this building especially the cladding but now after looking at Caltranes pic(thanks) of cladding im satisfied that the building is in right hands and will be a beauty.

Holy S***! is that actual curved glass?! Whippersnapper is right, no expenses spared on this one that's pricey stuff. She'll be the standout building/skyscraper (150m+) of the entire boom.

Whoa - is that curved glass on 1 Bloor?? Nice. Very excited for the rest of the tower now.

RBC is interesting. The cladding isn't as high quality as most of the recent office projects, but in the right light it does look good.

RBC's massing is not working for me. I also wish they kept to one style of curtainwall preferably with the veritcal emphasis.

L Tower, framed by Brookfield Place:

You can really see the discrepancy in facades from this angle, with the north facade looking great and the west facade looking cheap and cluttered.

If they had to have balconies, I don't understand why they would choose to accent them with the white panels. The solid white lines on the north side and even the few on the West side look so much better.

Side panelling is a definite fail.

agreed. the east, west, and south sides all look really messy. the treatment of the facade has always been my biggest complaint about L. they tried to make it too abstract. Mostly by accenting the balconies AND vertical strips in white.

No the white strips are great, on all sides ... the balcony accents are what really ruins it in my opinion.

Either way though, this still looks great from afar (and that's where it'll mainly be seen from).
