The core should be close to 800' now. In a couple months it should be the new tallest in Austin.

It will only get worse as it gets taller. Very strange design. Almost embarrassing.

Boy those redditors are sure clever

If this thing is supposed to be residential why are there no balconies and it's the same height as an office building?

The section they are working on now is all residential and has many recessed balconies. The darker areas Are the balconies. They are just well hidden and not hanging Out. They are Recessed.

It's great to see so much excitement about the Waterline project! The base really does look stunning—it's always incredible to see these feats of architecture take form. Austin's skyline is changing fast, and this build is a testiment to Austin's growth. Let's truly keep building up and creating Austin's future! #letsgetdense

One can really see the architectural geometry of this tower in the above photo. The Base Hotel has long double floor white lines (with lots of orange accents). The Mid Office Tower has white single floor rectangles (with some orange accent). The Top Residential Section has double floor white squares (and no orange accent). Each section a different shape and size; divided from each other with huge columns; and a future Slanted All White Crown.

It certainly is not a standard monolithic office tower of the past. Like it or not so much; This tower was Intentionally and Artfully Designed.

I agree and I really think its one of the most unique supertalls going up in the USA. Its not super skinny like NYC, its not gaudy or bold like Miami, or industrial like San Fran, its "organic"? Has a japanese type vibe to me.

Really hoping I'll come around and like it more as it reaches completion.

I really like the building to the right of Waterline in the photo.
