Going in the current Aritzia location, which is moving this summer over to there the Gap, MAC and Roots used to be as mentioned above. Uniqlo is taking space in the old Bay, haven't heard what else might be going in that space. Operations say there are 26 renovations planned this year, for new stores and relocations.

Always amazes me how this mall absorbs empty space. Some of their strategy has been larger stores absorbing more space when smaller ones close.

Wow, Uniqlo would be a great addition. The mall is definitely going more upscale than it was. And with White Oaks adding IKEA and probably a lot more, it really secures these two malls as the main shopping destinations for London. And I don't want to sound too dramatic but I think this does influence people to think about moving to London if they can because if they feel they can get almost everything they can get in Toronto then they are actually gaining living in a more affordable city, etc. And other people will choose London to make it a destination for a weekend visit. The more stores like these that we get, the less reason for Londoners to go to the GTA to shop.

This is a really great point. I know many people end up heading to the GTA for shopping, and with London's population it makes sense to get more of these stores locally. More variety is always a great thing. I will be checking out Uniqlo and the new Ikea stores for sure.
