Oh no, I thought I couldn't hate that dumb longhorn more than I already did, yet here we are.

Really? Unless you're saying that you're just not a UT fan, I'm curious as to why. I think it looks much better in real life than it did in the renderings (particularly with regards to looking like a longhorn rather than a uterus).

Though, I suppose what matters will be how it looks when that section is filled with fans. If it just ends up looking like gaps in the stadium, it will probably seem a bit goofy.

Does that say, "Myers-Briggs Legacy Club"?

If it did, everyone would be required to sit in one of 16 boxes.

Perhaps it's to help provide more contrast to the orange Longhorn cutout, at least when there are no spectators in the stadium? Then again, it doesn't appear to be consistent throughout so I really don't know.

I really want to love the new south endzone, but there are 3 things I can't get past...
1. The fact UT/architect couldn't come up with a design to seamlessly connect with the east and west lower bowls like the north end zone.
2. That the 2 sets of tiered standing room platforms aren't exactly mirrored with each other. They should've just done away with the existing pedestrian tunnels instead of cantilevering over them.
3. That the goal post isn't centered with the tunnel.

I think 2 and 3 might be due to perspective of the photo - photographer doesn't appear to be centered on the field.

If the photographer moved a few feet to the left to center of the field, the goal post would appear even move off-center with the tunnel

If you look at the corner walls on each side with the stepping pedestals there seems to be a curve which blocks fans seated behind it unable to view the field.

Class of '05 - I just think the thing is horribly tacky in a 90s starter jacket sort of way.

I just cant get past that cut out in the bottom right corner of the stands. It's killing my ocd. Also, I see no reason for it. Like it doesn't seem necessary as an architectural matter?

It leads to the Kool-Aid man's locker room. It's so he can make less dramatic appearances than he did in the past.

The contrast between the modern and traditional is throwing me off a bit. Hopefully they find a way to meld them a little better. This façade looks temporary.
