One of the establishments I miss from the old WTC was a restaurant on the first floor of the Marriott Hotel (3WTC). It was called Tall Ships Bar and Grill, and was a very warm, inviting place to dine with friends, have a glass of wine, and carry idle conversation into the wee hours of the morning. Great service, excellent food and drinks, and much more affordable than Windows on the World.
It was also a great place to catch brunch. Me and some of the guys would sneak out of the office often and take an elevator down for brunch, especially if we were working on weekends. Drink mimosas, eat pancakes, and go back to work shitfaced. Ahh those were the days!
