I believe so. Photo looks north on Market St., poles for trolley wire curve in the distance to follow Florence Ave. northeast. This rail line originally was the L.A. & Redondo Inglewood Division, later became LARy's 5 Line (Eagle Rock - Hawthorne).

Here's 10 Min. of Los Angeles/Hollywood streets. Some sharped eyed people have nailed this as 1941 but the title says 1930s which appears to be a bit off.

Movie signs etc., denote this as 1941 era. So its just before entry into WW II.

And as most everyone here knows, The Bounty is still in business! ...Go Here to see how it looks today. (the same; except for a tree blocking the view)

Well one thing led to another & I happened upon The Bounty in the opening credits of an episode of The Fugitive, (1963-1967).

So is 'oldshowbiz' correct? Was Crown International Picture Corps. located on Wilshire Blvd?.....If so, where

Another RPPC from the Ron Lerch collection on eBay. Unless there's a backstory, a small plane crashing in the ocean is hardly noirish but as close as it gets in this collection.

While 8701 Wilshire matches the posted image, CIP (and its logo) was also located at 292 S. La Cienega Blvd. (See address toward bottom of poster.)

The Crooked Cue billiards parlor was located within the Crenshaw Bowl at 2825 Crenshaw Blvd.

Does anyone recognize this apartment building?

Luckily, there is a sign in front of the building.

This sign.

I believe the large word is "Apartment" but the words above it are too fuzzy (and small) to read.

The newspaper clipping on the back isn't any help.

I don't know why 1967 was written in ink when the actual fire was in 1973.

mystery train wreck.

"Original Photograph City Of Los Angeles TRAIN WRECK Engine Scene Of Accident."

Of course the crash could have happened anywhere along the route but the landscape sure looks like California.

I'm especially intrigue by this part of the wreck.

It appears to be the engine of the 'City of Los Angeles' but it's facing the wrong way.

And finally, here's a closer look at the Bonds and Stamps rail car.

I wonder how soon after the crash the photograph was taken.

Cliff's Notes: The wreck occurred on November 12, 1951 at a siding called Wyutah which, as you might surmise, was near the Utah-Wyoming border. One passenger train traveling at 77 mph rear-ended another traveling at 2 mph, killing 11 pasengers and six crew members. The accident occurred in blizzard conditions.
