Yep, mild rainy, just a total wash for a day. (forgive me for the pun ) It's currently 9, which is the high for today, and we had a rainfall warning.
On top of that, I have a cold and had a lousy day at work. Oh well, these days happen, I look forward to enjoying the next few days while I get better.
The fog was pretty at least, i took these as I walked home:

Our third thaw in the last 30 days. Snow is history, back to green grass. We've had 25mm of rain in the last 24 hours, temps hit 10C.

BC and Alberta warming up during January , Manitoba through Ontario and Quebec going into the deep freeze as the polar vortex blasts south. January looking like a very cold month for the middle/eastern half of the continent. Florida might even get some snow!

Gorgeous photos of Frontenac Park.

Montreal hit 11.2 early this morning which is a record high for December 30, but it gradually cooled off through the day. Still warm, though, especially when the sun came out for a bit in the afternoon. Nearly all the snow melted overnight.

9C and mainly cloudy. Some sunshine in the afternoon.

Up to 11C overnight. It is absolutely crazy how fast the snow melted. I don't think I've ever seen snow melt so fast. Literally disappeared overnight.

The warmspot was Granby, QC at 13.9C.

Warmest low was Race Rocks, BC at 6.1C.

Started off windy, but became a pretty nice day, with full sunshine and a high of 7.6. Yesterday was dark and rainy with a high of 11.7.

Real, sustained freezing winter weather is coming by the weekend.

I guess the rain shadow protected us in Victoria, was a lovely sunny day here. For a change I recorded some horizontal video and uploaded it to YouTube, instead of the verticals for Instagram.

The city of Victoria has yet to fall below zero this winter, the last time that happened was February 18, 2024.

+9C and sunny in Moncton at noontime! Glorious weather for New Year's Eve.

The snow that fell before Christmas is mostly all gone now (except for the snow banks). I hope it isn't too warm out to allow for skating on the public outdoor skating rink on the Avenir Centre Plaza this evening.

Sold out Wildcat's game at 4 PM, meaning nearly 9.000 fans spilling out onto the plaza around 6:45 for a concert and outdoor skating, followed by early fireworks at 7:15 for the younglings. The festivities will continue until midnight, with more fireworks then. Usually a very good time.
