Hopefully we'll hear some news soon on what's happening with the whiteout parties. They're currently planning. Seems they could have that west side of the tower done in a couple weeks if they really wanted to. But looks like it will not be done before then. Side walk along graham is still closed as there's no concrete. But the shacks area all gone.

I'm guessing it'll be in the parking lots over on graham Ave. Which was kind of dull. I really liked the atmosphere of the Donald St area. Looked great on TV too.

They're in there now prepping to do the sidewalks along Graham. A bobcat is ripping out old concrete.

You can peek into the 2nd floor food hall area now but they have a looong way to go yet.

Ya. I don't see them competing that in time for playoffs in two weeks. maybe though. Seems like there'd still be frost in the ground there, especially being in the shade. Maybe they heated in.

Maybe they'll hurry to get that in. Even if it isnt 100 percent ready to go they'll probably still host events in the square itself. Reduced capacity wont be ideal for them but it would be neat to see it in action

^ The new windows are a huge improvement. It's still a product of its time but a much handsomer one now.

Agreed. And it appears that only 6 out of 14 windows per row are being expanded to full size, which is less than 50% and it it still looks so much better. I was hoping they would all be expanded but I suppose it only really makes sense for the living room ones.

The shade of beige of this building really is the worst tho.

I'm curious about the final product because I don't think we've seen any renders of this project? Someone mentioned full podium renos.

Do we know if the rest of Graham is going to be getting the SHED streetscaping for the whole length? It looks so ridiculous right now with the SHED in the middle, black 90s Transit on either side, and standard unpainted steel near all the construction projects.

If so... I really wish they'd keep the traffic signals horizontal! Was such a fun change of design we don't have anywhere else in Winnipeg, aside from Arlington Bridge.

I spoke to one of the BK people on Monday re: the sidewalk work along Graham. He figured a bit over a week to get the sidewalk work all done.

The only door along that stretch is going to be at Carleton - apparently a coffee shop is going in. Like we need another one...

All of the retail on the ground floor faces the courtyard.

You're welcome!

They've been going 4 months plus now - any estimates for when they'll start excavating?

Hard to say. I recall that piling seemed to go on forever with the first two towers and then finally they had excavated and set up a crane and then it felt lightning fast from start to topping out
